Data Set #1
I was pleased with the well crafted order of selection by the non-sentient computer chip in my CD player.
Track order for Freaktown:
3 - 11 - 17 - 13 - 5
The ebb and flow created with the order of these selections has me looking forward to the end of September. I don't know what that that statement means.
"A shot in the arm"
This is what I feel like I need most days, but not in the heroin way. More like a shot of vitamin B-12, or perhaps a metaphorical "shot" along the lines of a different job or a new city to live in.
"My darling"
A sad song because it makes me think of a lonely Jay Bennett. In my little set of songs it provides for a good 2nd song "cool down" which will allow for more focused introspective reflection when songs 3, 4, and then 5 roll around.
Untitled
Track 17 is basically a reprise of "A shot in the arm". This proves the irony in all things "random". Folks with greater vocabulary and higher IQ's than me can rip that last sentence apart for all of the fallacy contained within. Anyways, I like the song, so I was glad to hear it for another three minutes and fifty-four seconds.
"Summer teeth"
The title track off of this album. I did not realize that the words "summer" and "teeth" are actually supposed to be separated when referring to this album until I looked at the liner notes just now. Are they? I like bird noises in songs, so this one really cheers me up when I hear it. Also, I keep having dreams that don't seem to mean anything.
"I'm always in love"
I am! What a great song. Good or bad, the documentary DVD has become a large reference point for me and my Wilco experience. Listening to this song has me picturing the video footage in the documentary of the band as they practiced for the tour that was originally supposed to launch Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. In the commentary of the DVD, Stirratt jokes that the documentary finally revealed the "secret" lyrics sung as back-up vocals by the bassist. Oddly, listening to this song does make me want to smoke weed.
Since songs 3, 4, and 5 were pretty upbeat, I did not get to experience any of that introspection I was talking about, but if any of you actually participate in my experiment I hope that maybe something interesting might happen in the way that we all view ourselves.
Those who take part will be listening at different times and in different places. Be sure to think about your friends trying to complete the experiment as you do so yourself and see if that affects your results.

Did anybody notice that all of the track numbers in my selection were prime numbers? Not very "random" if you ask me.
